MarineSAFE
MarineSAFE provides video-based training programmes and uses real fishing footage to support learning associated with risk management in the commercial fishing industry. The programmes are focused on improving health, wellbeing, and safety outcomes, and reducing injury rates. MarineSAFE have tools and guidance designed to reduce risk and strengthen safety practices across the sector.

FirstMate
FirstMate focuses on wellbeing and mental-health support for the seafood and marine community it provides tailored wellbeing resources and modules, support packs and helpline information. FirstMate have alot of guidance around managing thre unique pressures of life at sea, both on board and at home.
NZSWT supports FirstMates purpose to ensure that indiviudals, families, and whānau in the sector feel supported,valued and connected, with access to help wherever they need it. The focus around mental-health support, recognise the unique pressures of life at sea and ensure that those who work on the water have access to the guidance, tools, and support they need to stay safe and well.
Through our funding and partnerships, NZSWT helps to make these projects possible, enabling freely accessible resources such as wellbeing modules, support packs, helpline information, and sector-specific guidance designed by and for the seafood community.
